Forest Fire Protection
Omexom and its partners have developed a forest fire protection solution that uses highvoltage grid pylons equipped with advanced Paratronic cameras capable of autonomously detecting fires within a 20 km radius. A detailed vulnerability study by Resallience determines the optimal camera placement based on vegetation type, climate, accessibility, and proximity to residential areas. This system helps protect electrical networks, preserve biodiversity, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and enhance community safety while adding value to existing infrastructure.

Omexom supports the deployment of 100% digital substations by providing advanced digital control systems and optical sensor technologies that ensure precise, fully digital signal collection and processing.
They enhance the security, efficiency, and reliability of substations through remote access capabilities, increased resilience, and seamless integration into modernized electrical networks.

NDT (Non Destructive Test) Robot
MAGNETO INDUCTIVE TRANSMISSION LINE TESTING- Non-destructive transmission-line testing.
The NDC Robot enables non-destructive magneto inductive testing of high and mediumv oltage aluminum steel cables to accurately assess wear, detect faults, and support maintenance planning. It operates by towing an induction machine along the cable to create a magnetic circuit, collect sensor data, and precisely identify issues such as broken strands, corrosion, or steelsection loss. This technology has been qualified by RTE and has already been used to analyze around 220 km of conductors across 40 lines, improving the reliability and safety of power transmission networks.

for bundle conductors is a proven safety concept. It ensures reliable cross-protection during cable pulling. Omexom developed this system in collaboration with Sepa-Tech and Seilflechter, specifically for installation near live electrical lines.
