The Måna stadium in Drøbak in Norway literally appears in a new light, thanks to the newly installed LED floodlights.

Environmentally friendly lighting

In October, Omexom teams in Norway installed 14 new environmentally friendly 1,550 W LED floodlights.

Installers Gisle Ianke and Ulf-Roger Berg Hansen explain the challenges of the project :

The spotlights are divided into seven pieces on 16 metre high masts that rise up along the sides of the course. With the new lighting, maintenance costs are considerably reduced, the lighting effect is much better and the floodlight system can of course be remotely controlled by coaches, goalkeepers and managers via a mobile phone application. The control unit itself and the control system reduce energy consumption considerably. “explains Gisle Ianke, installer at Omexom in Norway.

Improved infrastructures for local schools

The courtyard, used by the local schools, needed new, more energy-efficient lighting.

It is exciting and stimulating work. Of course, it’s great to be able to contribute to further improving the educational infrastructure for children and young people in the neighborhood,” says Ulf-Roger Berg Hansen.

Omexom in Norway has a solid experience and expertise in sports lighting. Among other things, the teams have improved the lighting in several stadiums.
